Description[]

Diplodocus was a huge, long diplodocoid sauropod that lived in North America's Morrison Formation. One of the best known sauropods, one species, D.hallorum is the sixth longest sauropod. It is a synonym of Seismosaurus. They probably lay their eggs through an egg tube. Like all diplodocoids, they had very long whip-like tails.
